Apple To Ban iPhone Screen Protectors From Online & Retail Stores From May 2010
News coming from iLounge.com is that Apple have decided to ban iPhone screen protective film from their online and retail stores from May this year. This came as a surprise to the masses but apparently some manufacturers may have been aware, Apple giving the hint that they have been talking about this for some time.
Exact reason as to why the popular iPhone screen protection film is to be banned is as yet unknown, iLounge have asked Apple for a comment and will update their blog when and if it comes.
For me I believe the ban is to do with the perception that an iPhone screen protector is needed, when in reality it isn't. They serve to tarnish a brand built on quality.
