Review: Gecko Gear Glove for iPad - Silicon iPad Case

iPad cases are everywhere, so if you decide that silicon is your preferred iPad case genre whats good?

Well the Gecko Gear Glove for iPad I reckon is a stand out in this category. Its a hefty amount of silicon which hugs your iPad and feels great in your hand. Not just because its silicon but because the Australian designers of the glove have built in a couple of nifty touches unique to the Glove.

First there are the raised silicon ridges which radiate across the sides and over the back of the case, makes keeping hold of your iPad easy and as a bonus keeps your iPad still if you use it on your lap. Second is the smooth gutter that runs around the back of the case, the gutter is exactly where your fingertips touch the case in any orientation.

Head over to our main blog site for more and some close up pics of the Gecko Glove:

SwitchEasy NUDE for Apple iPad Review

Just landed this week into Australia is the awesome new hard shell case from SwitchEasy for the Apple iPad, the NUDE. So called, I would assume, because it is a super thin case - only 1 mm thick - which leaves your iPad feeling, well, starkers - naked - nude - in the buff !!

The NUDE comes in six colours: UltraBlack, UltraClear, White, Turquoise, Fuchsia (Pink) and Orange. Not only is this a very nice fitting case but you also get a tonne of goodies in with the packaging in usual SwitchEasy style. You get a clear iPad screen protector, micro fibre wipe, squeegee and best of all two hard plastic iPad stands, one white and one black. The stands fold flat for easy storage and pop up to make a convenient stand for the iPad in both landscape and portrait mode. Read more on our main blog which also has some close up pics of the NUDE.

Need A Mobile WiFi Hotspot For Your WiFi iPad Use Your iPhone

So you have a shiny new WiFi only iPad, you take it out in public feeling very proud and tech savvy. You grab a coffee and decide to check on your email, catch up on the news or maybe just throw some peas at zombies (PvZ on iTunes if you are lost with the pea thing). You your horror there is no free WiFi, what to do?

Well, if you have an iPhone you can use that to create a mobile wifi hotspot just for you (and anyone else you might want to give the password to). The only catch, you have to jailbreak your iPhone to do it. No wait, don't click away yet .... jailbreak is no longer a nasty word or a place where only serious geeks go; the average man or woman can now easily jailbreak and reap the benefits.

In our latest main blog (http://blog.iplease.com.au) post, we look at MyWi, a jailbreak app that turns your iPhone into a mobile wi-fi hotspot - very handy indeed.

Review: Zinio for iPad - Your Online Digital Worldwide Magazine Store

This was a bit of a tricky review to write. The Zinio universal app is getting a bit of a hammering in the Australian iTunes app store and yeah sure it has a few issues but if you can look past them this has the making to be an awesome app.

Zinio is an online magazine store serving worldwide magazines digitally to your desktop, iPhone and now iPad. I have a feeling that the iPad app, after it has a bit more work done on it, will be an essential app and will change the way magazines are read.

Zinio for iPad is, like most app at the moment, in its infant stage. Jump in now and have a look and a play and keep the app around for some future greatness. Visit our main blog to read the full review.
